Marshmallow Cookies

I was in charge of making some cookies and cakes for an event a little time ago and made these things for the kids. They are really easy to make and I’m not entirely sure how you could go wrong unless you set something on fire.

Since I was making something for kids, I wanted them to be sweet and colorful. I think I managed. Didn’t get any complaints anyway.

Dream Cookies / Drömmar

These cookies are pretty.. well, Swedish, I suppose. They’re called Drömmar, which means Dreams. So I guess that’s what I’m going to be calling them. I honestly don’t know if they exist elsewhere. Feel free to call me out on bullshit if they do.

They are small, crispy and very sweet. Perfect for mostly anything I suppose. The traditional recipe calls for hartshorn salt, but as that stinks when you use it, I’ve modified it a little to use baking powder instead and that worked perfectly.

Sweet Apple Pie

I decided that I’ve never really made an apple pie. This must be fixed!

I did a whole lot of mixing recipes here and forgot to take as many pictures as I use to, so you will have to deal with mostly finished-pie-pictures.


For all apple pie loving people out there, this is probably something you’d like. It’s really good. Promise.
Also, I’m sorry for not having updated in so long. This will have to be my apology.

It’s a wonderful recipe, very sweet and with a flaky crust. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

White Chocolate Sort-of Tiramisu

So, the youngest minion had her birthday last Thursday (on valentines), a cake was of course required!

I decided on this White Chocolate Espresso Torte thing that is reminiscent of a Tiramisu

We had a bit of a mini-fight about her not getting to know what cake she was getting before her birthday, but I won and got to make the cake! Go me!

Thank goodness I had a day off before her birthday or I would never have managed since this cake takes it’s sweet time to get ready (and I think it tastes better if it is made the day before it’s supposed to be eaten).

Chili and Raspberry Chocolate Mousse

The other day, the younger minion wanted something for dessert and suggested chocolate mousse.
It’s pretty simple to do if you just want it plain (not that my version is difficult), but she suggested a sort of mix with a certain chocolate truffle recipe we have.

Chocolate Chip and Candied Strawberry Cookies

Chocolate Chip and Candied Strawberry Cookies! What a ridiculously long name for something so very simple.
These cookies are ridiculously easy to make and very yummy if you like strawberries.

If you don’t you can always replace the strawberries by some other candied/dried fruit and/or berries of your choice. Or you can completely skip them. Do as you want. Sometimes I use blackcurrants in them instead. Those are just as awesome.

But this time it was strawberries!
